UNC Asheville’s National Environmental Modeling and Analysis Center (NEMAC) conducts applied environmental research to create tools that address the challenges and opportunities of human interaction with the environment. We integrate data, create visualizations, facilitate understanding, and provide decision support to address the issues that impact our society.

NEMAC supports UNC Asheville’s mission by promoting collaborations between the university, its students and faculty, and the community. We foster active partnerships with academic, public, private, and community organizations.
